Workshop for journalist "Social services: the role of NGOs" (part II)

Date: June 8-9, 2007

Scope: The scope of this workshop is to improve the media representatives’ understanding of social affairs in general and the social services provided by NGOs in particular. This will help national and local media representatives to produce better outputs when covering the activities of the social service providers, as well as social networks and public authorities, dealing with social affairs.



Objectives:

1. to raise the level of awareness of the opinion leaders –  the media representatives – on civil society issues
2. to increase their interest in writing about social affairs and civil society
3. to brief the media representatives upon the basic principles of the decentralized social assistance
4. to improve the quality of their social affairs reporting
5. to improve the partnership skills among media reps
